The hull of the 14' model weighs 96 lb and the assembled boat with the seats,and transom board with aluminum support brackets ( 14' model only ) installed weighs 133 lb ready for the water.
The 14' Porta-bote comes with 4 bench seats, 60" wide beam, 24" depth mid ship giving maximum room for people and cargo. Weight capacity is 807 lb ( 367 kg ). This boat folds to 14' long by 24" wide and 4" thick.This is a great boat for cottagers and hunt camp owners as it can be folded
and put inside ( making theft harder ) or under the building. When camping, the 14 ' allows for more people and gear to be transported at one time.
Transom board supplied with added aluminum supports ( also supplied ) allows for any shortshaft gas engine that weighs less than 83 lb up to a maximum 10 HP as well as any size electric trolling motor with a 30" to 36" shaft.
Oar lock sockets are standard on all Porta-botes. The 14' model comes with two sets of oar lock sockets for different rowing positions or for two people to row.
Optional 6' Deluxe Folding oars and locks are a good choice for safety and comfortable rowing.
Optional RV Mounts can be used on RVs and fifth wheel trailers as well as a great locking device for garage walls etc.
Optional Porta-dolly allows you to easily transport your Porta-bote and gear to the water.
This boat can be assembled in minutes. A wooden boat opener is included with every Porta-bote to hold the hull open, while seats and transom are installed.
